Nordea Swedish Ideas Equity Fund will merge with Nordea Nordic Fund

We continuously strive to develop our fund offering. As part of this work, we will merge the Nordea Swedish Ideas Equity Fund with the Nordea Nordic Fund on 13 June 2025. The Financial Supervisory Authority has approved the merger of the funds.

Why are we merging the funds?

There are many similarities between the funds. They have similar goals, views on responsible investments, and are suitable for the same type of investors. Approximately one-third of the funds' holdings are the same. The difference is that the Nordea Nordic Fund invests across the entire Nordic region, meaning the receiving fund is more diversified. Additionally, as a result of the merger, the assets of the Nordea Nordic Fund will increase, and, therefore, we believe that unitholders will have better opportunities for good returns.

What effects will the merger have?

The merger has no impact on the value of unitholders' fund units and does not cause any costs or tax consequences for persons generally liable to taxation in Finland. The merger also does not affect the investment policy of the Nordea Nordic Fund; it remains the same as before.

Units in the Nordea Swedish Ideas Equity Fund can be bought and sold until 4:30 PM on 10 June. The Nordea Nordic Fund will be closed for trading after 4:30 PM on 12 June, but once the merger is completed, the fund will reopen, and you can trade again as usual.
